Hello every one and thanks for all the support. I just wanted to give you all an update on what’s happening. First, we went back to winter around here. I am typing this while it just snowed a few inches in my front yard and Grand Targhee ski Resort reported 2 feet this morning. If you want to watch an interesting Youtube video of the top lift (Sublette) at Jackson Hole Ski Resort, check out this link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7CDuMSP6Gws&feature=player_embedded. These are very difficult casting conditions. Aside from these conditions fishing has been good on the South Fork. I would encourage everyone to click on the link next to this post titled “Bounty on the Rainbows” There is a Fish and Game link in the article that explains a bit more. This is a controverial method used in reducing the rainbow trout numbers. But it has it’s rewards, literally!! Please post comments after reading this. We are going to allow our guests to participate at the chance to win $1,000 dollars or any of the 535 tagged trout rewards ranging from $50 to $1,000 dollars. We are interested in your feedback on this program. More info in video form found here, www.youtube.com/user/idahofishgame.
Get ready for a new website and E-newsletter blasts. We will continue to use this blog and as spring returns I will encourage all guides to submit posts. We will be opening earlier this year and staying open later. Opening June 1st and staying open until at least Oct 1st. At this point there are only a few reservations during the first two weeks of June and the last two weeks of September. Those interested in coming should call the lodge for deeply discounted rates. Rayna will have details when you call and they will be posted on our new site.
Just to let you know, Rayna, Guy, Vern, Bj, Vanessa, Shade, Jaason and all the guides will be waiting for you to return this year. As will I. We will have a slightly different culinary crew, I have been interviewing some great candidates. With the change expect some new ideas in our breakfast, lunch and dinner menu’s. Any suggestions or thoughts are welcomed.
