Fishing Report for The South Fork of The Snake River 4/8/21

Winter keeps a tight grip around here but it’s slowly loosening.  Swan Valley received a bit of snow this week but overall the weather has been ok and there is quite a bit of sun in the forecast for the weekend.  At least your guides won’t be freezing.

All the boat ramps are accessible with the exception of Cottonwood as the road is closed until May.  Midges and streamers will be the name of the game this weekend.  Keep your eyes peeled in the slack water for fish rising to midges otherwise nymphing with midge patterns will be productive.  Streamers should be fished deep and slow.

We will be opening the lodge on May 1st and stay tuned for details on the Grand Opening of our new fly shop in Swan Valley.  Give us a call if we can answer any questions 208.483.2222
