The past several winters, in fact almost all of them that I can remember, the flow out of Palisades from about Dec. 1st through mid-April was 900 cfs or maybe 1000 cfs if we were lucky. This winter the flows have been stable at 1200 cfs. Trout Unlimited has always lobbied for higher winter flows. The higher winter flows would supply more habitat, food, cover, etc. for the fish.
I would have to say more water is always better for the fish! And with warmer days on the horizon I might have to go out and see for myself.
