South Fork of the Snake Fishing Report May 19th, 2016

Here’s your fishing report for this coming weekend.  While the masses head to the Henry’s Fork to chase the almighty Salmon Fly, our head guide Jaason quietly had a 50 plus fish day today.  Albeit his clients were fishing a variety of nymphs but it’s still impressive.  Jaason had his clients fishing with standard fare for this time of year, stonefly nymphs, prince nymphs, eggs, and San Juan worms.   The upper river has the best access and clearest water and with few folks fishing the South Fork compared to the Henry’s Fork the “upper” is where our guides have been headed.

*Remember no parking is being enforced at the Irwin Slide call our shop with any questions.

We’ve also been having great fun on Palisades Reservoir!  We now offer guided fishing from a 22′ Pontoon boat.  We can accommodate up to 5 anglers and the fishing has been fast and furious…while not on the fly, it’s fun to experience a new type of fishing and on new water.  It’s a great trip for larger groups or groups with children.  Give us a call to give it a try.
